Psalm 111:10 (NIV)

10 The Psalmist even said, “The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom…”

2 Timothy 1:7 (NKJV)

7 For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.

1. God has given us power.

Acts 1:8 (NLT)

8 You will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you.

Romans 5:15-17 (NLT)

17 So you have not received a spirit that makes you fearful slaves. Instead, you received God’s Spirit when he adopted you as his own children.
